Living on a wildlife refuge amidst the city gives Telva Chase the grounding and quiet she needs to concentrate on her creativity when she is not trekking around the world. To date, she has lived overseas for sixteen years, and has traveled over 4 million miles across 43 countries!
Telva Chase is a new, fresh, and bold designer and started Truffle Art after she retired as a security technologist in Vancouver, Washington.
Her many years living abroad and a lifetime of travel provide inspiration and love of gardens, museums, history, and ruins. Being an avid photographer, she now takes advantage of more than 30 years of images and translates them into her designs.
Her detailed artwork is created through a variety of media – watercolor, inks, acrylic, encaustic – a combination of traditional and digital renderings.
Telva is seeking a unique collaboration opportunity with a focus on soft and hard products that want a fun, special feel, no matter how old the audience.
Today I paint and express myself using many different traditional media: oil, acrylic, encaustic, watercolor, gold leaf, pastel, pen and ink, and colored pencil. My paintings are often a combination of these to bring about the depth and translucence required in the subject.
I've also embarked on a digital journey to produce stand-alone and repeating patterns for textiles.
